Day Two of My New Blog

So far so good I guess.  It’s lunch time and I have succeeded in setting up my email accounts on Thunderbird.  Not difficult at all since that sort of thing I’ve done many times before.  Then I wrote down all my usernames and passwords to keep them handy.  That was a tedious process since I am so meticulous about keeping the paper I wrote on so neat.

Then it was on to the fun part of finding plugins and widgets to add to my site.  I love all the extras!  Spam filters, website backups, and other interesting things to make my life easier.  But of course I had to add a WeatherUnderground widget.  I’m such a weather geek!  I’m not sure why it keeps telling me that my own personal weather station is off line.  So I used one from a nearby town.

To tell you the truth, my head is swimming with information.  I know in the future I’ll look back on this time and wonder why I was such a basket case.  cPanel, FTP, jumping through what seems like fire-burning hoops to install this one particular widget, and just trying to find my way around the WordPress dashboard are all enough to make me consider running for the hills screaming like a little girl.

The good news is that at least I’m not delving into coding just yet.  The last time I got brave enough to do something with coding was trying to get my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card recognized by the Sims 3 late last year.  Copy and Paste was not doing me any good.  It ended up being one lousy little space missing just before a “{” that did me in.  But I managed to get the card recognized and I slept well that night.

My goals for the rest of the day are to work on My Rabbits page with some photos, do a teeny bit on the About Me page, and…  (the biggy) set up a Sub domain for my Computers for Absolute Beginners so I can finally start on that project.  Then I will call it a day before my head explodes and sit back to watch some YouTube videos.

Wish me luck!  I am so going to need it!
