Yeah, so I woke up this morning to find that Mother Nature has the worst sense of humor of anyone else I know. She also has a lousy sense of timing too. Just look at the picture! Really? Yesterday was April Fool’s Day, but you wouldn’t know it from the mess on my deck today. And it’s still coming down!
Yesterday I had the laundry drying on the deck and all the windows open as the sun shined. The weather forecast seemed to be an April Fool’s joke so I ignored it. Good thing I don’t have any plans to leave the house today. The joke is on me (and everyone else in the area).
Actually, it looks as though the storm is just about over and I’m hoping that the sun will come out long enough so I can do the Monday Bunny Chores. There is nothing like the smell of fresh hay on a Monday.
The jokes were quiet yesterday which might have something to do with the other holidays being celebrated and that it was a Sunday. One of my favorite Minecraft You Tubers did a handful of short videos where he parodied other types of gaming You Tubers. The Farming Simulator series went retro with a C64 Edition while one of the horse games I used to play changed their colors to hot girly pink. All in all it was a pretty boring April Fool’s Day.
The Best Laid Plans
I really need to get a handle on my WIP pile. At the very least I should pull them out so I can assess the oncoming avalanche. It can’t be that bad since I might have run out of projects to highlight for WIP Tuesday. Oops! I need to troll Ravely’s patterns. Down a rabbit hole I go….
But before that…
One thing I have been really bad with this year (and with all this s**w can you blame me?) is starting seeds for the garden. The only thing I have to plant so far is several branches of pussy willow for the buns’ chewing enjoyment. There are a few leaves spouting, but I think it’s as sick of the weather as the rest of us.
I’m sorry this post isn’t too exciting, but it’s a quiet day here on the home front and my creativity seems to still be in bed.
Happy Belated April Fool’s Day and remember the age old X-Files motto: Trust no one.
Have an excellent day!
