Misc. Monday – Getting Close to Crunch Time

It’s getting close to crunch time on my Hygge CAL.  The Farm Fair is one day more than two weeks away.  Yikes!  And though I have finished the first half of the cross stitch, there is so much left to do.  So I must apologize in advance if blog posts are next to nothing for the time being.  I’ll try to make some update posts, but I can’t make any promises.

I literally wore my butt out yesterday trying to get the first half completed.  Not exactly 100% completed since I realized after I rolled her up that I forgot three red stitches in the top right corner.  Oh well.  I’ll do them today.

OMG!  July Came in Like a Blowtorch!

Though Dad was kind enough to finally move the thermometer on my weather station out of the direct sunlight, it still read over 100 yesterday.  How is that even possible?  Well, if you stick your nose out of my front door for less than a second, you’ll know that yes, indeedy-sir-bob, it is hotter than hell outside.  And I don’t say that lightly.  OMG indeed!

The bad news (Can it get worse than it is?) is that the Heat Advisory has been extended until tomorrow night at 8 PM.  I am going to keep my butt glued to this seat until January at this rate.  And I mean literally glued from sweat.  Yuck!

Unfortunately, I have to venture out in a little while to run an errand that I can’t put off.  Just the thought of an oven for a car and a steering wheel so hot I need oven mitts to drive.

The Bun Sisters are Practicing Their Rug Impressions

Though they perked up for breakfast and then for litter pan cleaning, they are now flat on the floor looking absolutely miserable.  I keep telling them to think of all the little buns suffering in the outdoors, locked in hutches.  Mokona gives an ear twitch, but then goes back to complaining.  Yuki just closes her eyes and goes to sleep.  No sympathy for the suffering of others with those two.  Every time I “aww” over a bun that needs fostering or a good home I get the bunny stink eye.

Back to Work

I have enough time to do a bit on the Hygge CAL before I have to leave.  Hopefully, after I get back and have a bit of a lunch I can complete the goal I set for myself.  If I can, I’ll be able to relax.  Yesterday, I treated myself to a nice gaming session on Farming Simulator 17 where  I managed to kinda sorta figure out the Course Play mod as well as buy 100 sheep.  Good times!

Stay cool everyone!  Or at least try to.  And drink plenty of water!

Have an excellent day!
